Klaatu, the visitor from another world, sits in the hospital room. He has been shot coming out of his spaceship trying to give the US President a present. Here he is talking to Mr. Harley, a representative of the US President, who is telling Klaatu that the President can’t get the leaders of the world together due to meeting locations.

Mr. Harley:

Your impatience is quite understandable.

Klaatu:

I’m impatient with stupidity. My people have learned to live without it.

Mr. Harley

I’m afraid my people haven’t. I’m very sorry….I wish it were otherwise.
